RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—Jackie Olich, Ph.D., director of University Collaborations at RTI International, has been selected to join the 2016-2017 class of Leadership North Carolina (LNC).
Joining 55 other civic and community leaders from across North Carolina, Olich will learn about challenges critical to the state’s future while gaining new insight into solutions that will improve and empower communities.
As RTI’s director of University Collaborations, she develops partnerships with regional, national and international academic institutions. Olich also oversees the RTI University Scholar Program and internship program.
Leadership North Carolina sessions will focus on five key areas:
- Economic development
- Education
- The Environment
- Government
- Health and human services
“This represents a unique opportunity to highlight RTI’s engagement in North Carolina civic and community leadership,” Olich said. “I look forward to coordinating with other leaders from across the state to broaden our understanding of key issues and make a positive impact.”
Each year, Leadership North Carolina uses a rigorous selection process to choose a class of established and emerging leaders to participate in the program. Sessions are held around the state to highlight the social, geographic and economic diversity that exists in North Carolina.
Olich is the first LNC participant from RTI.
