Dr. Nisha Marles is a results-driven global public health professional with 13 years of experience in global health policy and program management with overseas placements and projects in Sub-Saharan and West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.  

Dr. Marles is currently the Practice Lead for Global Health Security within RTI’s Global Health Division. Prior to joining RTI in July 2024, Dr. Marles worked at ICF on the USAID-funded Infectious Disease Detection and Surveillance (IDDS) project as the Senior Manager for Global Health Security programs. She provided technical oversight of several global health security programs across Africa and South and Southeast Asia, participated in several business development pursuits, and presented project achievements at several conferences and meetings to help bring awareness to the importance of timely and accurate diagnostic services and laboratory systems strengthening.

Dr. Marles also is an adjunct faculty member at Purdue Global University’s School of Public Health. She earned her DrPH from the University of Illinois-Chicago, her MPH from the George Washington University, and her BA from the University of Rochester. She speaks conversational French.
