Adebiyi Adeniran is a molecular entomologist and molecular parasitologist with over a decade of Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) research and control program experience in sub-Saharan Africa and in Mexico. He currently leads the Onchocerciasis program of the USAID-funded Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East (Act | East) program.  

Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Adeniran worked under the DOLF (Death to Onchocerciasis and Lymphatic Filariasis) Project at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, where he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, playing a pivotal role in the development of potential diagnostic assays for onchocerciasis using molecular and biotechnological approach. He was the Regional Technical Lead for NTD laboratory capacity strengthening for Sightsavers, where he provided technical and advisory support to NTD control programs in several sub-Saharan African countries, and also worked with Mission to Save the Helpless (MITOSATH) in Nigeria where he supported implementation of mass drug administration for lymphatic filariasis and onchocerciasis.  

Dr. Adeniran speaks English, Yoruba, and Spanish and is a beginner French speaker.
