Consistent with our mission to share research, analytical tools, and technical expertise on critical societal and scientific issues, RTI Press strives for clear and consistent practices for data underlying our publications. For an overview of the RTI Press production process, including peer review, see the Editorial Production Process guide.
RTI Press requires authors to provide a data availability statement (DAS) for all accepted briefs and reports. The DAS will be included in the final publication and will explain whether and what data are available and how they may be accessed.
Authors are encouraged to share data that support their analysis and conclusions but are only required to do so if stipulated by law or contractual obligations. At submission, authors are made aware that they may need to disclose information about and/or share their data during review and upon acceptance.
Authors must also cite all publicly available data used in their manuscript.
