RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK N.C. – RTI International (RTI) welcomes two new strategic Climate hires—Aleisha Khan as a Senior Climate Advisor and Amy Volckens, PE as a Strategic Account Executive for Climate. Khan and Volckens will spearhead identifying, implementing, and delivering on best practices for sustainably growing our climate research capabilities and services for RTI’s international and domestic clients, respectively.
Aleisha brings more than 25 years of experience focused on climate and clean energy. Prior to coming to RTI, she worked with numerous non-profits, small businesses, and corporate firms, and recently served on the board of Community Solar B-Corp. She has expertise in technical delivery and leadership through work with USAID, World Bank, ASEAN, APEC, U.S. DOE, U.S. EPA, and others.
“I value broad-based partnerships as a central element of improving climate action, clean energy, resilient cities, and gender equality. At RTI, I look forward to building on my experience in developing evidence-driven solutions to climate change,” stated Aleisha Khan.
Amy re-joined the RTI team after previous employment from 2001-2006. She has 21 years of experience delivering climate and sustainability solutions for federal, local, and state governments, and energy and utility companies. In her current role, she will be working primarily with EPA, NOAA, USDA, and DOE.
“RTI is committed to tackling the global challenge of climate change, as demonstrated by our Center for Climate Solutions,” said Amy Volckens. “RTI has brought our research capabilities and multidisciplinary teams to environmental problems for 60 years, and we will continue to support our clients with climate actions that improve the human condition.”
The creation of and appointment of both roles solidify RTI’s commitment to supporting clients and partners in tackling the climate crisis, ensuring a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
