Most people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) live at home rather than in a nursing home. Across the United States and internationally, efforts are underway to establish dementia-capable home and community-based service systems and to develop effective, evidence-based services for people with ADRD and their caregivers. Although progress has been made, additional work is needed in several areas, such as eliminating disparities in care and using technology to support well-being among people with ADRD and their caregivers.
