Hutchby, J., Timmons, M., Venkatasubramanian, R., Sharps, P., & Whisnant, RA. (1994). High-efficiency tandem solar cells on single- and poly-crystalline substrates. Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 35, 9-24. https://doi.org/10.1016/0927-0248(94)90117-1
This paper will review and assess the current status of the development of tandem solar cells for space and terrestrial applications. We will also introduce and present results on a new In0.49Ga0.51P / GaAs tandem cell grown and fabricated on a low-cost, polycrystalline Ge substrate.
