Dilution sampling system for gaseous pollutants

Abstract

To reduce problems associated with continuous monitoring of pollutant gases, an impmved sample handling system was developed at an EPA laboratory.By means of a special probe and a flow control loop to which a gas monitor is connected, this interface system dilutes the stack gas in a controlled ratio, thus lowering the dewpoint and reducing the particulate concentration in the sample stream to the analyzer.(auth)
