RTI International announces workforce realignment

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International today announced a workforce realignment to respond to unexpected changes in federal funding and broader market shifts. Reductions will impact a total of 340 U.S.-based staff members including 177 in North Carolina, with additional changes expected in the coming weeks. RTI President and CEO Tim J. Gabel released the following statement:

“Taking this step was not easy, but it’s necessary to position RTI for long-term success and strengthen our ability to serve federal, state and local government and commercial clients. We understand the weight of these decisions and the real impact they have on our staff members. RTI’s foundation is strong, and transforming our organization to align with broader market shifts will enable new opportunities for science-driven growth.”
