Hudson Oliveira appointed to Governor’s Advisory Council on Small and Historically Underutilized Businesses

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – RTI International's Hudson Oliveira was appointed by Governor Pat McCrory to serve on the North Carolina Governor`s Advisory Council on Small and Historically Underutilized Businesses. 

Oliveira is the director of supplier diversity for RTI's Small Business Office. He will serve a two-year appointment on the Council, which involves examining barriers to state contract and procurement opportunities for small businesses.

Established by the governor in 2014, the Council is charged with helping shape policies that will support and build small businesses in North Carolina. The specially-appointed group of business men and women provide guidance to Governor McCrory, Secretary of the Department of Administration Bill Daughtridge, and to the Department of Administration for Historically Underutilized Businesses. 

"Hudson's commitment to small business in unmatched," said Jeff Scott, chief procurement officer at RTI. "This appointment reflects his dedication to elevating small businesses and his strategic focus on this highly important economic issue."

Oliveira earned a Master of Science degree at the University of South Florida in Organizational Development and Sustainability, and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Portland State University.
