RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC— Forbes magazine has ranked RTI International sixth of 250 in its America's Best Employers list for midsize companies for 2016.
"It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as a Forbes best employer," said RTI President and CEO Wayne Holden, Ph.D. "Inclusion in this list confirms our commitment to providing our staff members with a great place to work that supports them in their efforts to improve the human condition by turning knowledge into practice."
To create the list, Forbes conducted an independent survey of 30,000 employees at companies across America. The result is a ranking of the 500 best large employers, with more than 5,000 employees, and a separate ranking of the 250 best midsize employers, with 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
The survey asked employees to rank both their own company as an employer and other companies in the same industry sector.
"We are so pleased that employees see RTI as a premier organization to work for, and we will work to continue providing our staff with the environment and resources they need to excel," said Lisa May, RTI executive vice president of Human Resources.
This is the second year Forbes has published the America's Best Employers list. The entire list of mid-size employers is available here. In addition, the list of large employers is available here.
