Andrew Cox joins RTI International as vice president of finance for Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Andrew Cox has joined RTI International as vice president of finance for Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences. 

In his new role, Cox serves as a key member of RTI's Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences' leadership team as well as a critical influencer in the group's financial decisions. His major responsibilities include championing the group's growth, driving financial strategy, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

"Andrew brings a host of leadership experience and a broad knowledge in finance to drive organizational growth and success," said Tim Gabel, executive vice president of Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences at RTI. "We are excited to welcome him to RTI."

Cox began his career at Progress Energy in 2001 and was named vice president of integration and improvement following the Duke Energy/Progress Energy merger in July 2012. In 2014, after the completion of the merger, Cox was named vice president of performance excellence, responsible for driving sustainable improvements across all business segments. 

Cox earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from North Carolina State University.
