Tracy Nolen is a senior research statistician at RTI, serving as the principal investigator on several federal-funded, multisite coordinating centers. Dr. Nolen’s domestic research addresses efforts to test interventions for post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), also known as “long COVID-19,” via adaptive platform trials; test host-directed therapies for COVID-19 via rapid, efficient, collaborative adaptive platform trials; and identify pharmacotherapies for substance use disorders, with a focus on veterans who often have comorbid post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dr. Nolen specializes in the oversight, design, implementation, and analysis of preclinical, observational, and all-phase clinical research. She is experienced with various clinical designs, including longitudinal cohort studies, investigational new drug trials, and alternative study designs. In addition, she specializes in generalized linear models, nonparametric analysis, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, dose-proportionality analysis, and causal inference.
