Dr.  Sri Kusuma Hartani (Tani) is a development professional with nearly two decades of experience in public health, nutrition, and health resilience program design and adaptive implementation. She currently serves as the Chief of Party of USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East program in Indonesia, a global USAID flagship initiative to support governments in the control and elimination of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). In her role, Tani provides overall program and operations management and leadership, working closely with Indonesia’s Ministry of Health and ensuring multi-stakeholders engagement to support the country goal toward elimination of lymphatic filariasis.

Prior to joining RTI, Tani worked in USAID/Indonesia’s Health Office through the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Platform (MEL-P) Activity as Health Management Specialist providing tailored technical assistance to partners of USAID COVID-19 response and primary healthcare portfolios. Tasks included (re)design and planning; adaptive implementation and progress monitoring; compliance and quality donor reporting; advising on the creation of compelling documentation and communications products as program legacies; developing stronger collaboration among partners, with government counterparts and multistakeholder actors; and leading a successful high-level event for USAID/Indonesia’s COVID-19 response close-out.

During her development career, Tani has worked with CARE, Mercy Corps, DAI, and other development actors. She has managed various grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts in Indonesia, including projects in child survival, nutrition, resilience, outbreak surveillance, and bilateral technical assistance for COVID-19 response.

Tani is adept at technical program quality oversight, business development, impact and learning management, and project management with public health focus.
