Randy Price

Randy Price is a supervisor in the Materials Handling Facility (MHF) in RTI’s Analytical Sciences group. In this role, he helps the laboratory’s business operations and leads marketing efforts for the MHF. Mr. Price is actively involved in the development and implementation of dose formulation and chemical process methods and leverages Good Laboratory Practice guidelines and compliance.

With over 30 years of experience in chemical handling for the National Toxicology Program Chemistry Support Services contract, Mr. Price leads the quality control and reporting efforts for activities in the MHF. He has completed training on shipping hazardous materials and operating lift trucks to transfer materials. In addition, Mr. Price offers technical support and asbestos minerals processing for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. He was responsible for creating asbestos reference materials for laboratory proficiency testing programs, including the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (for bulk asbestos using polarized light microscopy), and the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s Bulk Asbestos Proficiency Analytical Testing Program.

Before joining RTI in 1986, Mr. price worked as a crew chief for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, where he supervised and trained employees on proper aircraft fueling.
