Nicole Mills

Nicole Mills is an Education Consultant with 10 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Remediation Specialist, and Curriculum Facilitator. She has extensive experience designing and implementing differentiated curriculum instruction targeting a wide range of academic abilities. As a Remediation Specialist, Ms. Mills collaborated with teachers to analyze district and state assessment data to determine gaps and form remediation strategies for at-risk students targeting specific goals to increase student performance. In her previous role as a Curriculum Facilitator, she supported teachers in efficient and exemplary instructional decision-making through reflective planning and data analysis. Additionally, she provided individual and team conferencing and coaching with teachers through professional learning communities to accelerate the use of exemplary instructional practices to improve student achievement.

Mills has received training in LETRS, Foundations of Reading, Foundations, Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol instructional model, MTSS, childhood trauma, diversity and equity, and instructional practices for academically gifted students. She served on her school’s Admin Team, Leadership Team, Instructional Leadership Team, and Intervention and Support Team where she worked closely with teachers and administrators to meet the curricular, instructional, and organizational goals of the school and district. Ms. Mills is a NC Teaching Fellow and has received multiple awards and recognitions for excellence in teaching.
