Nani Grimmer is the Director of the Project Excellence Program in the Justice Practice Area. She manages a team of project management and product management professionals to ensure RTI’s quality assurance processes are implemented across all Justice-focused projects; driving quality, efficiency, and strategy.

With more than 16 years of experience managing federal assistance awards and contracts, Ms. Grimmer is an experienced government contract professional, who recognizes the need for organizational excellence. She has in-depth knowledge of the Uniform Administrative Requirements (2 C.F.R Part 200) for non-federal entities, specializing in the Department of Justice Financial Guide since 2016. She leverages her experience to promote project efficiency and the strategic development of project goals that satisfy client demands while maintaining overall project health and compliance. As a certified project management professional, Ms. Grimmer applies both traditional and agile project management methods to manage large and complex training and technical assistance (TTA) projects like the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) TTA and Forensics TTA Programs—both funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Her primary duties involve program design, development, execution, and monitoring; client relationship management; quality management; oversight of project timelines, financial health, and contractual requirements; and management of subawards and subcontractors.

Ms. Grimmer is dedicated to reviewing internal processes for improvement, enabling RTI to remain competitive in its customer value. Forward-thinking and horizon scanning are key strengths that allow her to identify shifts in client focus and encourage strategic partnerships. Ms. Grimmer utilizes these skills to inform resource planning so that both projects and an organization can pivot to the next priority.
