Lauren Bradley is a clinical research study manager at RTI International, with over 20 years of experience in the field of public health research and clinical studies. Lauren currently serves as Operations Director for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)-funded Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery - Clinical Trials (RECOVER-CT) initiative, which is focused on the execution of clinical trials that explore potential interventions for the treatment of Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS CoV-2 infection (PASC), also known as "long COVID" or "long haul COVID". 

Lauren has managed numerous clinical and pre-clinical research studies under the Department of Defense-funded Pharmacotherapies for Alcohol and Substance Abuse (PASA) Consortium, which aims to identify and develop medications to improve treatment outcomes for alcohol and substance use disorders in Veterans, especially those occurring concurrently with a traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also served as study manager for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Development-funded Neonatal Research Network study. In this role, she worked with the team examining treatment of neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome. Additionally, Lauren worked on an NHLBI-funded study focused on use of pomalidomide in the treatment of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia. 

Other notable past project work at RTI includes: 1) partnering on the development of a Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) curriculum for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the role of non-communicable diseases in the COVID-19 pandemic; 2) serving as technical lead for implementation of Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA)-related FETP workforce development activities in Guinea, West Africa to address immediate workforce training needs during the 2014 Ebola epidemic, and; 3) coordination of RTI's Zika Virus Steering Committee to promote internal research and development and the pursuit of related external collaborations.

Prior to joining RTI, Lauren served as Curriculum Management, Development and Design Specialist at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, working with faculty and educational leadership to provide leadership and expertise in curriculum development, student assessment, and medical education research and scholarship. While at Wake Forest, she also served as director of the Standardized Patient Program. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Gillings School of Global Public Health, Lauren was a Research Associate with the Center for Public Health Preparedness where she provided planning, oversight, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation expertise for domestic and internationally focused public health training and educational programs. Early career positions include serving as Environmental Health Program Manager at the Association of Public Health Laboratories and as a Fellow with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Homeland Security Research Center.
