Lauren DiVenanzo has over 14 years of experience in the energy sector and is a Director in the International Development Group's Energy division. Ms. DiVenanzo has successfully led projects across Africa and South Asia to meet their energy priorities, advance new technologies, accelerate investment, and engage in new partnerships. She currently serves as home office technical manager of the South Asia Regional Energy Partnership, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. She oversees the program’s efforts to improve access to affordable, secure, reliable, and sustainable energy in the region. Prior to this role, Ms. DiVenanzo served in various technical leadership roles for the Power Africa-funded Empower East and Central Africa Program and the East Africa Energy Program, implemented by RTI. 

Prior to joining RTI, Ms. DiVenanzo was the Chief of Staff for Power Africa in Pretoria, South Africa. Before working for Power Africa, she was an implementing partner for USAID, USTDA, MCC, and World Bank projects with Nexant, Advanced Engineering Associates International, and Mott MacDonald. Her program management focuses predominately on catalyzing investment for large power transactions, government-to-government management, on-grid policy support, cross-border trade, and integration of cross-cutting themes across the energy cycle.
