Joseph Welsch currently is working with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) as the Cold Case Advisor Team Lead. This includes leading a multidisciplinary team conducting in-depth cold case reviews to assist in resolving long-term missing and unidentified person cases. Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Welsch worked as a special agent for the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation. He has over 32 years of law enforcement experience, which included investigating several high-profile investigations. Mr. Welsch specializes in investigating homicides, officer-involved incidents, missing and abducted persons, and unidentified human remains.
