Ivette Rodriguez Borja is a public health analyst with experience analyzing and interpreting population, hospitalization, and treatment discharge data for quantitative research projects centered on substance use. In support of the Indian Health Service (IHS), National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and others, her current research focuses on improving outcomes in health services, alcohol and substance use disorders, and health equity.

Ms. Rodriguez leverages her skills across several projects, including the IHS-funded Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment Simulation (AUDTxSim) project, the IHS-funded Secondhand Harms project, and the CDC-funded Strengthening Syringe Services Project. In addition to this work, she is currently a part of the Zero Suicide Initiative (ZSI) Coordinating Center at RTI – the result of a cooperative agreement with IHS. In this role, she helps provide support to two of the Indian Health Service’s Urban Indian Organizations to implement the Zero Suicide model within their local health care system. This includes overseeing project management, assisting with site visits, providing survey analysis, as well as serving as the dissemination task-lead.
