Hangyi (Hannah) Yan

Hangyi (Hannah) Yan is a senior research scientist and medical device expert. She provides regulatory and scientific support to medical products from development to market, with focus on medical devices. Dr. Yan currently supports the National Institute of Health (NIH) National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Catalyze Program, the NIH SEED Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Needs Assessment, and the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA­-H) programs. 

Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Yan worked at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and at both the Center of Devices and Radiology Health (CDRH) and Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Her previous work includes device determination and device classification, hematology in vitro diagnostic medical devices, and immunotoxicity of biologics. 

Dr. Yan also worked at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where she conducted immuno-oncology research. She is an accomplished scientist in cancer biology, immunology, toxicology, veterinary sciences, cellular biology, and molecular biology.
