Britta Hansen

Britta Hansen is the Program and Creative Director for the User Experience Design and Product Management Program in RTI’s Center for Communication Strategy and Design. Ms. Hansen is a creative problem solver who is skilled at creating delightful digital solutions that are smart, simple, and put the user first. Ms. Hansen designs user-centered and accessible digital solutions that focus on improving education and health outcomes. She leads a team of UI and UX designers, visual designers, and product managers.

Ms. Hansen’s expertise includes product design, creative strategy, human-centered design, user interface (UI) design, user experience (UX) design, creative direction, branding, marketing, Section 508 compliance, and product management. She ushers projects through the product development life cycle, managing these from concept creation to execution. Ms. Hansen collaborates with clients, developers, and UX researchers to ensure a positive and intuitive user experience. She and her team produce high-quality deliverables that engage and are accessible to a wide audience. 

Ms. Hansen leads the creative strategy and product design for several clients including the Defense STEM Education Consortium (DSEC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) RECOVER Initiative, and the Department of Education’s Migrant Education Program’s RESULTS Interstate Coordination and Community of Practice website. She oversees the product design for several curriculum dissemination products, including Educurious’ Sprocket and NCSU’s InSTEP Statistics and Data Science Professional Learning Platform.
