Bernice Bond

Bernice Bond is the Vice President of Information Security, Chief Information Security Officer at RTI. With over 25 years of cyber security leadership and experience, Ms. Bond leads, improves, and maintains IT governance, IT risk management, and cybersecurity operations. She has a talent for analyzing complex situations to utilize strategic risk-focused approaches to align with industry cyber best practices as well as meet regulatory and client requirements.

As businesses become more interconnected through technology, cybersecurity is a top focus for all companies. The ability to remain secure and resilient to both minimize risk and support business opportunities is a top priority for Ms. Bond. She drives IT security and compliance to all levels of the organization with collaboration and prioritization with senior management and operation teams. Ms. Bond is also keen on maturing the cybersecurity culture at RTI as awareness is a key measure to protecting the institute from the ever-changing cyber landscape.

Ms. Bond holds several professional certifications, including ISC2 CISSP, PMI PMP, ITIL v3 Foundations, School of Cybersecurity CEIA, and Cybersecurity Nano degree. Additionally, she has professional memberships at ISC2 and PMI. She is on the NC Technology Advisory Board and is the Vice Chair of the NC Museum of Life & Science Board of Directors.
