Andrew Cox became RTI International’s executive vice president and chief financial officer in 2025. Before becoming CFO, he served 9 years as senior vice president of finance and contracts for RTI International’s Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences (SSES) and Lab Science businesses. In that role, he led a team of more than 140 finance and contracts professionals to annually support more than 1,000 proposals and 1,500 projects with varying levels of complexity. The businesses combine to a total annual revenue of more than $900 million and more than 3,500 staff worldwide. Mr. Cox partnered with the business unit leadership towards more holistic and impactful investment decision making and margin enhancing pricing strategies, which contributed an average 7% annual revenue and earnings growth since 2016.

Prior to RTI, Mr. Cox served as vice president of merger integration and improvement for Duke Energy. In this role, was responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise continuous improvement discipline and deliver on merger commitments.

Mr. Cox joined Progress Energy (Duke Energy subsidiary post 2012 merger) in 2001 and held various leadership roles, including director of power operations finance; manager of Progress Ventures business services; and manager of Progress Ventures risk and financial analysis.

Additionally, Mr. Cox has military experience that includes serving in the Army National Guard from 1992 to 1998. He also served in Operation Joint Endeavor / Joint Guard in Ansbach, Germany, in 1997 for the United States Army.
