Amelia Craze Smith is a research chemist at RTI’s Analytical Lab. She develops and validates PM2.5 filter extraction methods and analyzes organic and inorganic components of PM2.5. She also interprets potential health impacts of PM2.5 exposure and coordinates community events to promote environmental health literacy and advocacy. Currently, Dr. Smith supports the Chemical Speciation Network and IMPROVE Air Network projects. She holds a professional membership at the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
