Webinar: Improving the Quality of Addiction Treatment

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) – the combination of medications and behavioral therapy – is an effective opioid addiction treatment, yet only a third of residential addiction treatment facilities in the United States provide MAT onsite to their clients. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) have issued new guidance allowing coverage of residential addiction under Medicaid, if providers can demonstrate they are delivering high quality treatment and are able to prescribe MAT on-site to clients or through off-site partnerships. 

In this webinar, participants will hear from experts on the importance of MAT in addiction treatment, and from addiction treatment providers who have developed processes to educate patients on MAT and have implemented on-site MAT. This webinar is one of many activities that RTI is undertaking to combat the opioid epidemic and improve addiction treatment.
