Virtual Project-Based Learning Design Academy Cohort IV

Are you ready to transform your practice and prepare students to transform the world through high quality project-based learning (PBL)? Join RTI’s PBL Design Academy where you will:

• Collaborate with global experts at RTI International who are working firsthand to transform the world by using STEM to solve global challenges
• Transform practice by developing skills to design and implement high quality PBL through hands-on workshops, focused networking, and personalized coaching
• Learn to develop and implement standards-based PBL units where students explore and address pressing global issues by working with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Key Features:

• Small cohort of like-minded transformative educators
• Access to global experts currently working to address UN Sustainable Development Goals at RTI International including lab visits, panel discussion, and mentoring on PBL design
• Experiential learning to build understanding of high quality PBL from both the student and teacher perspectives
• Embedded tools and coaching to support high quality PBL design and implementation across content areas
• CEU and DLC credit awarded upon completion
• Gain strategies and tools to implement PBL in online and blended teaching environments

When: Semester-long experience that includes 5 virtual professional learning sessions along with individualized virtual coaching for successful implementation

• Kickoff virtual workshop sessions: September 10 and 11, 2020 from 9am – Noon (EST) via Zoom
• Follow-up virtual workshop sessions: October 9, 23, and November 13, 2020 from 9am- Noon via Zoom
• End-of-semester Virtual PBL Showcase: Date TBD

Who: Open to K12 educators

Cost: For individuals or teams: $1200 per person and $1000 per person for teams of 2 or more. Cancel no later than 8/10/2020 for a full refund.
