Dr. David Dayton, Dr. Ofei Mante, and Dr. Phillip Cross will be traveling to Auburn, Alabama to attend the Thermal & Catalytic Sciences 2018 Symposium. Dr. David Dayton, Senior Fellow of Biofuels, and Dr. Ofei Mante will be presenting and moderating several sessions, as well as being available at RTI’s booth. Below are the sessions with RTI:
- Monday October 8th
- 11:00 AM: Dayton presenting during the Plenary Session on “Challenges and Opportunities for Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts”
- Tuesday October 9th
- 9:00 AM: Dayton moderating the Plenary Session
- 3:30 PM: Dayton moderating “Bio-oil Upgrading and Co-Products” Session
- 3:30 PM: Mante presenting “Toward Understanding Bio-Oil Distillation: Role of Oxygenates on Residue Formation”
The Thermal and Catalytic Sciences Symposium has been held every other year following the first symposium held in 2010 at Iowa State University with the goal of focusing on thermochemical biomass research and development and providing early career scientists and engineers an opportunity to present their research and interact with the senior researchers in the community.
