SID-US: 2024 Annual Conference

The Society for International Development (SID-US) will once again gather in Washington, DC for its Annual Conference. This year, the conference theme is “World in Crisis: Sparks of Hope,” and sessions will focus on the windows of opportunity that exist to advance development amidst the myriad challenges in today’s world.  

The conference will have a hybrid format, featuring virtual elements as well as in-person programming at the Washington Hilton hotel in Washington, DC. Attendees can attend keynote speeches, breakout sessions, networking events, and an exhibition hall featuring key players in international development spanning government, the private sector, and the nonprofit space. 

RTI involvement 
 

RTI is proud to be a Platinum sponsor of the 2024 SID-US Annual Conference, to have a booth in the exhibit hall, and to sponsor the attendance of five students from Howard University.  

We also have a speaker featured in the main agenda: Andrew Kyambadde, Health Systems Strengthening Lead, USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) | East Program, RTI International, will speak on the Global Health Equity panel from 2:00 - 2:50 PM. Kyambadde and other panelists will discuss practical solutions for advancing global health equity, including community-based and health systems-strengthening interventions. Audience members will learn about specific initiatives that have been successful in facilitating access to essential healthcare services for marginalized and vulnerable populations such as women, children, refugees, local communities, and people living in conflict zones.
