Session Details: This session will describe and define the key aspects of the new era of public education leadership that governance teams face and outline practices for boards and superintendents to navigate through these challenging and often political waters. Attendees will receive an overview of applicable and relevant governance research and hear perspectives on board and superintendent behaviors to foster cohesive teams that enable a focus on student learning and improved outcomes despite tumultuous environments. Session attendees will also be able to engage in a conversation about their own learning and best practices around governance.
