Dr. John Carpenter, Director of Natural Gas for the Energy Technology Division (ETD), will be presenting on our “Compact Micro-Reformers for Distributed GTL” technology. Working with MIT, Columbia University, and industrial partners, we are developing a small-scale gas-to-liquids (GTL) system that converts natural gas by integrating existing internal combustion engine technology with methanol synthesis. Our compact reformer produces synthesis gas—the first step in the conversion of natural gas to liquid fuels, other chemicals, or hydrogen.
Energy Frontiers International (EFI)'s Gas Flare Monetization Forum, a special program produced with the support of the World Bank's Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership (GGFR), brings together stakeholders responsible for technologies, projects, strategies and policies aimed at the recovery and monetization of associated and stranded natural gas, and conversion of a variety of renewable and fossil feedstocks to fuels and chemicals.
