RTI will be presenting at the CHERISH conference Friday, June 9, at The Wharton School. The focus of the conference is “Substance use disorder in America: Research to practice, and back again.” The event is sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and the Center for Health Economics or Treatment Interventions for Substance Use Disorder, HCV, and HIV (CHERISH).
RTI’s Tami Mark will be among several speakers during this one-day interactive conference to address gaps in evidence-based policies and practices for addressing substance abuse issues.
Dr. Mark—who will serve on a panel discussing treatment access, coverage, quality, and costs—is an internationally known expert on behavioral health care financing and services. She has authored more than 95 scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles or government reports, including Facing Addiction in America: The Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health. Dr. Mark has served on technical expert panels for the National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institute on Mental Health, National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, National Quality Forum, and other organizations.
