The North Carolina Chapter of the U.S. National Committee for UN Women is hosting its 4th Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, September 26th in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. This year's theme is "Healthcare for Women."
The purpose of this event is to educate participants on ways to improve healthcare services for women locally, nationally, and globally. The luncheon will also offer attendees the opportunity to engage in robust dialogue and panel discussions.
Lunch will be served at the historic North Carolina Executive Mansion and will feature three guest speakers, including RTI International expert Dr. Wendee Wechsberg, Director of the RTI Global Gender Center (GGC) and Principal Researcher and Director of the RTI Substance Use, Gender and Applied Research (SUGAR) Program.
Other guest speakers include Dr. Mandy Cohen, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and Ms. Rebecca Kohler, Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Development at IntraHealth International.
The annual luncheon is a great opportunity that allows a diverse group of individuals to network and encourage women to become impactful leaders in their community. The North Carolina Chapter hopes to utilize this luncheon to bring together organizations and individuals in the area that advocate for advancing gender equality on a global scale and the empowerment of women.
