Honorees demonstrated a strong commitment to workplace wellness
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has been recognized as one of the Healthiest Employers of North Carolina. The awards program, powered by Springbuk and hosted by First Person, was created to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employees. Honorees were recognized because of their commitment to workplace wellness and their exceptional health and benefits offerings.
RTI’s robust wellness culture is the result of a focus on staff health and work-life balance. At the onset of the emergence of COVID-19, and consistently throughout the pandemic, RTI has encouraged staff members to prioritize self-care and the management of their health and well-being.
“The health and well-being of our staff members is extremely important,” said Chris Conway, Benefits Director at RTI. “We are honored by this recognition and proud that employee health and well-being is an integral part of our culture.”
Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Completed assessments were ranked with the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming.
