RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has been recognized by Forbes Magazine for its diverse workplace. The annual 2020 list of the ‘Best Employers for Diversity’—released each year by Forbes—ranked RTI #277 out of 500 based on a survey of nearly 60,000 employees at companies across the U.S.
“At RTI, our policies, procedures and processes revolve around ensuring that we provide an inclusive workplace that is accommodating and welcoming to all employees,” said E. Wayne Holden, Ph.D, President and CEO of RTI. “We know that our mission to improve the human condition starts from within and we celebrate and value our diverse workforce.”
This year, RTI jumped up to spot #277, an increase of 82 spots compared to last year’s results. The organization hopes to continue to grow significantly on this list.
To create the list, Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research company, to survey businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Participants were asked questions regarding topics like age, gender equality, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQA+, and items directly concerning their employer.
RTI has more than 5,000 employees at locations across the world and is committed to building on its diverse foundation to maintain an all-inclusive environment. Regarding diversity, RTI strives to value all perspectives, treat everyone fairly and respectfully and support individual expression in the workplace.
