Mie scattering computations were performed for 212 measured size distributions in Los Angeles smog aerosols. Calculated scattering coefficients thus derived correlated well with those measured with a multiwavelength integrating nephelometer. The measured values were higher than those calculated; however, the disparity in magnitude was within the accuracy of the measurement systems.
