A model for adapting Bloom's Taxonomy to a preschool curriculum for the gifted
Bailey, D., & Leonard, J. (1977). A model for adapting Bloom's Taxonomy to a preschool curriculum for the gifted. Gastroenterology, 21(1), 97-103. http://gcq.sagepub.com/content/21/1/97.abstract
Curriculum modification has been suggested as one means of providing appropriate educational experiences for gifted children. While several models have been suggested at the level of junior high and above, little has been done in terms of a structured approach at the preschool level. The present article suggests a model for adapting Bloom's taxonomy to a unit approach at the preschool level. Rationale for the model is presented, model objectives are provided at each level of the taxonomy, and an example of how the model can be applied to a specific unit is suggested.
