ANAHEIM, CALIF.— RTI International researchers will discuss current and complex topics in public opinion and survey research at the 69th annual American Association for Public Opinion Research conference in Anaheim, California, May 15-18.
RTI’s leading survey researchers will present 19 posters, presentations and demonstrations to leaders in public opinion research during the event. The presentations highlight the research findings of RTI survey researchers on topics ranging from big data’s role in survey research to the public perceptions and implications of drones for survey research.
The conference, co-sponsored by RTI, will feature cutting-edge educational sessions, in-depth short courses, informal access to leaders in the survey and public opinion field, and an informative exhibit hall with representatives from key service and product providers. The theme of this year’s conference is “Measurement and the Role of Public Opinion in a Democracy.”
A meet-the-author session will feature RTI authors Craig Hill, Ph.D., senior vice president of RTI’s Survey, Computing, and Statistical Sciences unit, and Joe Murphy, director of the Program on Digital Technology and Society, who co-authored a book called Social Media, Sociality, and Survey Research with Elizabeth Dean, survey methodologist at RTI.
RTI also developed the app for this year’s event. The app allows users to browse session and event information, create a schedule, and review presentations and authors. The app is available at no cost through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
