Mathew Ondiek is a Senior Technical Advisor under the USAID-funded Western Kenya Sanitation Project, implemented by RTI International. He holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Nairobi and is a certified Project Management for Development Professional (PMD Pro), WASH practitioner and governance expert with over 20 years of experience in urban and rural WASH program management, public policy development, and advocacy in Kenya and East Africa. 

Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Ondiek worked for Practical Action, a UK-based charity that uses technology to fight poverty and was responsible for Urban WASH portfolio management and partnerships coordination in the Lake Victoria Region of Kenya.

Mr. Ondiek is passionate about creating synergy and enabling policy and regulatory spaces for inclusive safely managed water, sanitation and hygiene solutions in Africa.
