Erin Thomsen is a research education analyst at RTI, where she serves as the associate project director on the High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 (HSLS:09) Third Follow Up for the U.S. Department of Education. She also contributes to data processing tasks for the Department’s Beginning Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study (BPS:20/22 and BPS:20/25) and on the 2023-24 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS:24).

Ms. Thomsen joined RTI in 2016. Her expertise includes managing large datasets, deriving variables from multiple data sources, conducting analyses using education data, designing longitudinal surveys, managing project and task schedules and budgets, and leading project and task teams.
