Collins Enwereuzo

Chemical Engineer

Education

BS, Chemical Engineering with a Concentration in Energy Systems, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

Collins Enwereuzo is a chemical engineer who contributes to cutting-edge clean energy projects with a focus on process design, system optimization, and sustainable fuel technologies. Since joining RTI International in 2023, he has played a key role in advancing renewable energy solutions, including hydrogen production and carbon conversion technologies.

Mr. Enwereuzo is actively involved in the Department of Energy (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy’s (ARPA-E) REFUEL+IT program, where he assists with system design and upgrade to build a pilot-scale clean hydrogen and ammonia system from intermittent renewable energy sources. His work also extends to the DOE Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management’s Clean Hydrogen Production initiative and the pilot-scale demonstration of Lydian’s CO2 conversion technology, which explores the production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). His expertise in experiment design and system operation has contributed to the optimization of RTI’s Fischer-Tropsch syngas-to-SAF system, fixed-bed desulfurization system, and bench-scale vacuum distillation unit.

Before joining RTI, Mr. Enwereuzo worked as a research and development engineer at Carrier Corporation, where he developed AI models to predict heat exchanger performance and led innovative projects in sustainable building materials. His experience also includes power systems analysis at DTE Energy, where he worked on process improvements and cost forecasting for power plant operations.
