Ariana W. Katz (she/her) is a research public health analyst in the Center for Health Behavior and Implementation Science. In this role, she specializes in qualitative research methods, leading multi-national qualitative research projects, providing technical assistance on qualitative research methods and LGBTQIA+ and other equity topics, and evaluating public health media campaigns and programs. Ms. Katz has a background in health behavior and psychology with nearly a decade of experience bringing a health equity, sex-positive, and pleasure lens to sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, and LGBTQIA+ health in global and domestic settings. She is a skilled facilitator, interviewer, and trainer dedicated to creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and providing capacity-building and mentorship based on needs of colleagues and collaborators.

Ms. Katz serves as chair of the LGBTQIA+ Rising Working Group of RTI’s Global Gender Center, for which she oversees initiatives to spread the word about RTI's research with LGBTQIA+ communities and fosters connections for future collaborations and partnerships with funders, clients and community-based organizations. She also serves as co-chair of RTI's Pride ERG's Education and Awareness committee, where she works to improve understanding about and acceptance toward LGBTQIA+ people and their intersectional identities in the workplace.
