Ariana W. Katz (she/her) is a senior qualitative researcher in RTI’s Center for Health Behavior and Implementation Science. In this role, she leads multi-national socio-behavioral qualitative research studies and projects from proposal to data dissemination, providing technical assistance and subject matter expertise and evaluating public health media campaigns and programs. Ms. Katz has a background in health behavior and psychology with more than 10 years of experience bringing a health equity, sex-positive, and pleasure lens to sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and PrEP, and LGBTQIA+ health in global and domestic settings. She is a skilled facilitator, interviewer, and trainer dedicated to creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and providing capacity-building and mentorship based on needs of colleagues and collaborators.

Ms. Katz serves as chair of the LGBTQIA+ Rising Working Group of RTI’s Global Gender Center, for which she leads business development initiatives to expand RTI's research with LGBTQIA+ communities; fosters connections for collaboration and partnerships with funders, clients and community-based organizations; and develops and disseminates resources to researchers working with LGBTQIA+ populations to improve data quality and equitable research practices.
