We are proud to sponsor the International Conference on Primary Health Care (ICPHC), hosted by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health in collaboration with the International Institute for Primary Health Care - Ethiopia and the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. ICPHC 2023 will convene practitioners, leaders, and decision makers from around the globe working to advance the field of primary health care (PHC). Through participating in interactive round tables, lightning talks, and topical sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with colleagues dedicated to achieving universal health coverage and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals.
RTI involvement
RTI is hosting a breakout session entitled, “Opportunities for strengthening integrated health programming: Aligning sectors and actors.” Drawing from lessons learned in implementing integrated programming within and across the health sector, speakers will share best practices for effective multisectoral collaboration. Specifically, speakers will highlight pivotal strategies for integrating programming in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent healthcare; nutrition; HIV; malaria; and COVID-19 and emerging pandemic threats. Speakers will also share experiences of working to integrate siloed areas of health, such as neglected tropical diseases, into PHC. Additionally, attendees will hear reflections on what governments, donors, and other critical actors must do moving forward to continually facilitate effective multisectoral engagement for PHC.
