Breaking the Stigma and Ending the Addiction Cycle: Critical Steps for States, Counties & Tribes

LightStream Consulting Group with co-host UNCOMN are hosting a special one-day event focused on critical steps in addiction abatement on May 17 at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Breaking the Stigma and Ending the Addiction Cycle: Critical Steps for States, Counties & Tribes will bring together a broad community of leading experts and influential stakeholders in addiction treatment to discuss new resources, innovative research, effective strategies and best practices that can be put into practice on the ground. Information shared at the event has been gathered by an independent panel of national experts and addiction professionals over the last 14 months through the invaluable work of the National Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Strategic Advisory Panel (NSUDSAP) and associated workgroups. 

The event will be both in-person and available via livestream. Sessions will include speakers and panelists in seven focus areas: treatment, prevention, recovery, the workplace, criminal justice, civil legal aid, and harm reduction. RTI expert, Dr. Phillip Graham, will be speaking on a panel around early prevention and intervention strategies, highlighting the importance of looking upstream.
