AWRA 2023 Annual Water Resources Conference

For the first time, the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) brings its Annual Water Resources Conference to Raleigh, N.C. This year’s event, taking place November 6-8 and hosted by the N.C. Water Resources Association, will provide attendees with the latest in water resource management solutions and techniques as well as research focused on current and emerging issues.

AWRA attendees will learn firsthand:

• How major federal funding initiatives are affecting water infrastructure and resilience
• Which multidisciplinary projects provided valuable lessons
• Best practices based on the design and application of water resource management
• The implications of water policy decisions

In conjunction with The Nature Conservancy, we will lead a 90-minute discussion that includes presentations on:

• “Assessing the Benefits of Nature-Based Solutions Across Scales: How Watershed Modeling and Co–Benefits Analyses Support Planning, Implementation, and Assessment of NBS in Louisiana” (Eddy)

• “Finding Opportunities for Nature-Based Solutions: How Opportunity Mapping Supports Planning, Implementation, and Assessment of NBS in Louisiana” (Bates)
