2020 CHEF-Talks Webinar: Can Wearable Sensors Change the Course of the COVID-19 Pandemic?

RTI expert Robert Furberg, PhD will participate alongside Google Health's Zeenat Patrawala, MS, MBA in a webinar sponsored by the Chicago Health Executive Forum (CHEF) on Thursday, May 28, at 12:00 PM CDT/1:00 PM EST. During the event, Dr. Furberg and Ms.Patrawala will discuss how emerging technologies such as smartphones and wearable devices can be applied to public health interventions and can help inform the response to COVID-19. Georgia Casciato, FACHE, the managing director of Healthcare with Syntegrity and a past president of CHEF, will moderate the event.

Robert Furberg, PhD | RTI International
A nationally renowned researcher, Dr. Furberg has studied how personal sensor data can be used for large-scale observation of human behavior, tailoring and evaluating clinical interventions, and innovating public health surveillance. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Zeenat Patrawala, MS, MBA | Google Health
Ms. Patrawala is a founding member of Google Health. She has been instrumental in driving forward the healthcare initiative at Google to provide best in class machine learning tools to a host of healthcare applications. She serves on the board of the Northern California Club Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is an advisor to companies in the healthcare space including SwipeSense (Chicago-based.)
