This year marked RTI’s 60th anniversary as an independent, nonprofit research institute. This milestone reminded us of the incredible impact RTI has made across time.

Sustainable Solutions for a Better Future

With applied science, we partner with governments and communities globally to ensure that sustainable development thrives and resources are managed to ensure growth and well being for people across the globe.

RTI works across the food, water, and energy sectors to support sustainable development.

We helped Senegalese farmers increase rice yields and improve markets, doubling production and fostering self-reliance.

By improving local governments’ abilities to deliver public services and respond to citizens’ needs, Senegal is becoming more self-reliant.

Internally funded RTI work surfaced alarming results about the prevalence of lead in the water in childcare centers across North Carolina.
