RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, and NewWave Technologies, Inc., a distributor of business process automation technology solutions, have partnered to develop a distribution channel for CFS Analytics™, RTI’s secure, cloud-based platform that analyzes 911 calls-for-service (CFS) data. CFS Analytics™ is a data-driven, online decision support tool designed to help law enforcement and other first-responders more efficiently deploy resources.
CFS Analytics™ helps police, fire and EMS agencies proactively adjust resources to match anticipated demand for services, monitor unit response times and improve assistances for their communities. With user-friendly dashboards and visualizations, the tool shows real-time, dynamic analyses of 911 call volume and outcomes, incident data, officer resource allocation and response times, with multi-department and multi-agency views. The application is intuitive and designed to be used by analysts and non-analysts including command staff and supervisors.
“In a time of increased police scrutiny and accountability, CFS Analytics™ provides agencies with information they can use to track the performance of public safety programs,” said Kevin Strom, PhD, director of RTI’s center on policing research and investigative science. “RTI is excited to provide a tool that can support resource allocation, strategic planning, and community engagement in a very transparent manner.”
Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Frederick, MD, NewWave Technologies supports its value-added reseller channel with business process automation technologies that capture, store, manage, and distribute business-critical information.
