RTI Awarded New Work to Track and Evaluate State Policies Related to MAT for Opioid Use Disorder

RTI International was recently awarded a new contract, “Tracking and Evaluation of State Policies Related to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT),” for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to identify and assess the impact of federal and state laws that influence the use of medication for treating opioid use disorder (MOUD).

Led by RTI expert Arnie Aldridge, this new project will include a legal and impact analysis to create a database of historical and current measures that directly affect providers’ and patients’ use of MAT. Characterizing and measuring the impact of the legal landscape on MOUD use will help federal and state policy makers identify barriers that can be removed to improve the opioid epidemic.
